Payton Tolle
Pitcher/DH, Boston Red Sox

Bio

A two-way superstar at Wichita State, Tolle announced his commitment to transfer to TCU after an All-American sophomore season. With a 6’6”, 250 lbs. frame, Tolle is an imposing presence both on the mound and at the plate. As a hitter, Tolle started 55 games for the Shockers, batting .311 with 13 HR and 50 RBI. He absolutely destroys baseballs and has a staggering maximum exit velocity of 120mph. Tolle was just as effective as a pitcher, striking out 97 hitters over 85.2 innings pitched. His 26.9% strikeout rate was the 3rd best mark in the AAC. Tolle earned All-American honors from five media outlets for his elite two-way performance and was one of five finalists for the John Olerund Two-Way Player of the Year Award. Tolle is considered a top-100 prospect for the 2024 MLB draft and should only improve his stock on college baseball’s main stage at TCU. The two-way stud heads into his junior season looking to help the loaded Horned Frogs get back to Omaha for the second straight year.
