Bio
Los Angeles Dodgers rookie pitcher Gavin Stone has taken Major League Baseball by storm. Heading into the All-Star break, Stone boasts a phenomenal 9-3 win-loss record with a sparkling 3.26 ERA. The Dodgers are a dominant 12-5 when Stone takes the mound, solidifying his place as a force to be reckoned with. Through his hard work and determination Gavin Stone has solidified himself as a rookie of the year candidate for the 2024 MLB season and is looking to only keep growing his game from here.
Gavin Stone attended the University of Central Arkansas where he played for the Central Arkansas Bears. As a sophomore in 2019, he appeared in twenty games and went 4–3 with a 1.52 ERA and 58 strikeouts over 47 innings. Stone had a strong start to his Junior season in 2020 before it was canceled due to Covid-19. Stone decided to enter the draft where The Los Angeles Dodgers selected him in the fifth round, with the 159th overall pick, of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft.
As for Stone’s early days, he attended and played baseball for Riverside High School in Lakeside, Arkansas. He always had a passion for sports as he thrived on the baseball field and was also a part of the school’s basketball team. In the offseason, Stone resides in Arkansas with his girlfriend, Gracey, and their bernedoodle, Motley.”
