Harrison Barnes has built a career defined by consistency, character, and quiet leadership as he rose from the NBA to the Olympic podium, using his platform to uplift others.
Bio
From the small town of Ames, Iowa, Harrison Barnes is one of the most celebrated student athletes in Iowa history and was ranked the nation’s top player in the class of 2010 by ESPNU. In his senior year of high school, he led Ames High to an undefeated state championship season and ended the year as a McDonalds All American and MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic. From Iowa Harrison moved to North Carolina where he spent two seasons at UNC Chapel Hill starting in 73 games and leading his school to two Elite eight appearances and won ACC Rookie of the Year. After declaring for the NBA Draft, he was selected seventh overall and was named to the NBA All Rookie First Team in his first season. By the age of 23, he was an NBA champion with the 2015 Golden State Warriors. In June of the following year Barnes was named to the United States National Team for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Harrison helped Team USA to its third consecutive gold medal in Rio. Harrison Barnes is a husband, a father, an avid reader, a philanthropist and a devout Christian. In his free time he enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling the world.
