Bio
Now a member of the Detroit Pistons entering the 15th year of his career, Danilo Gallinari has made a name for himself thanks to his pure scoring ability, the depth he provides to a roster and his veteran presence. Gallinari is considered to be one of the most reliable shooting forwards in the NBA, posting a three-point percentage of at least 40 percent in three of the last four seasons. Before the New York Knicks selected Gallinari sixth overall in the 2008 NBA Draft, he was playing professionally in his home country of Italy, where he won the Italian League MVP in 2008, first playing professionally in 2004 for Unione Cestistica Casalpusterlengo. After playing parts of his first three seasons in the NBA with the Knicks, Gallinari spent six seasons with the Denver Nuggets before two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, one with the Oklahoma City Thunder and his most recent stop of two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks.
Family and giving back to the community are two things that have always been greatly important to Gallinari, and he has continued to consistently explore ways to be more environmentally conscious and work with children in need regularly. He is also passionate in pursuing new business ventures and finding ways to get involved in emerging technologies.
