Bio

Dansby Swanson is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). Swanson attended Vanderbilt University, and played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected him first overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, and traded him to the Braves during the 2015–16 offseason. He made his MLB debut in 2016.
