With the rare ability to pull almost any ball into homerun territory, Pederson has set numerous franchise and league records. In 2018, he set a record for most home runs by a leadoff hitter in Dodgers history, doing so in just 58 games. Known for his power in the post-season, Pederson set a league record with a hit and a run scored in each of his first six World Series games in 2017. Born and raised in California, Pederson has a down-to-earth and laidback personality and enjoys spending his off-season on the beach, with his family and his dog, Blue. Passionate about creating an inclusive environment, Pederson works with Special Olympics alongside his older brother Champ, who has Down Syndrome.
