Bio

Known for his ever-present smile and competitive consistency, Matt Kuchar has solidified his status as both a fan favorite and one of golf’s top players. A nine-time PGA Tour winner, Kuchar also earned a bronze medal for Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics, one of the many times he has represented his country in international play.

There have been innumerable highlights and top finishes for Kuchar over the course of his career, including a second-place finish at The OPEN Championship and a third-place finish at The Masters. He is also one of only three players to have won The Players Championship, a WGC title and a PGA TOUR playoff event. He has featured on a combined nine U.S. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup teams, clinching the 2010 win of the latter for the United States with a critical putt in singles action.

Prior to turning pro in 2000, Matt graduated from Georgia Tech, where he was a two-time, first-team All-American golfer. The U.S. Amateur Champion in 1997, he received the 1998 Haskins Award as the nation’s top collegiate golfer and was the low amateur at both the Masters and U.S. Open in 1998. He also contributed to two Palmer Cup teams (1998-1999), the 1998 U.S. Amateur World Team and the 1999 USGA Walker Cup Team. He, his wife, Sybi, and his two sons are actively involved in a number of charitable causes, including the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville and Camp Twin Lakes in Georgia.
