Bio
Anthony Rizzo is a World Series Champion, three-time MLB All-Star, and one of the most respected leaders in professional sports. Best known for helping lead the Chicago Cubs to their historic 2016 World Series title-breaking a 108-year championship drought-Rizzo has built a legacy defined by resilience, leadership, and heart. Throughout his career, he has earned multiple Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards, as well as the Roberto Clemente Award for his character and community involvement.
Off the field, Rizzo is a survivor of Hodgkin lymphoma and founded the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation in 2012 to support pediatric cancer patients and their families. The foundation, run by Rizzo and his family, has raised millions for cancer research and direct financial assistance, making a significant impact on families in need. Rizzo’s philanthropic work also includes major gifts to children’s hospitals and support for his hometown community in times of crisis, further cementing his legacy as a leader both on and off the field.
