Bio
Isaiah Thomas is one of the most well-known and inspiring professional basketball players of the modern era. Despite being one of the shortest players in recent NBA history at 5’9”, Thomas has defied the odds with his expectational skill, heart, and determination. His journey from being the last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft to becoming an elite scorer and leader is a testament to his resilience and dedication to the game.
Thomas’ charisma draws people to him and has made him a fan favorite across the NBA. Second only to his basketball talent is his commitment to helping others. Through The Thomas Family Giving Fund, Isaiah has been active in giving back to his communities, whether its organizing back- to-school backpack giveaways, holiday events for the underserved or spending time with children in the local community in hopes of inspiring the next generation of athletes and leaders.
In addition to his basketball career, Isaiah has also been involved in various business ventures. In 2017, he launched his own company called Slow Grind which started as a clothing company but has since grown to include Slow Grind Media and Slow Grind Publishing. The company is inspired by Thomas’ work ethic and his belief in the importance of taking small steps towards achieving success.
Isaiah is a passionate advocate for perseverance, mental toughness, and overcoming adversity. His personal experiences, including playing through injury and personal loss, have made him a compelling speaker who is able to connect with audiences on a deeper level. Whether speaking to students, athletes, or corporate teams, Thomas shares powerful lessons on hard work and believing in oneself, leaving audiences motivated to chase their own dream – no matter the obstacles.
