Paul Pierce, a former NBA Finals MVP and 10-time NBA All-Star, cemented his reputation as one of the most clutch scorers in basketball history. Nicknamed “The Truth,” he was a standout high school player and McDonald’s All-American before earning consensus first-team All-America honors as a junior at Kansas. Selected 10th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 1998 NBA Draft, Pierce became the face of the franchise, leading Boston to an NBA championship in 2008.
A prolific scorer and leader, Pierce spent 15 seasons with the Celtics, earning numerous accolades, including NBA Finals MVP honors in 2008 after guiding the team to its first title in over two decades alongside Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. He ranks among the Celtics’ all-time leaders in points, games played, and three-pointers made, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest players in franchise history. Since retiring, Pierce has brought his on-court experience and analysis to sports broadcasting. He currently co-hosts FS1’s daily studio show, SPEAK, alongside Joy Taylor and Keyshawn Johnson.
