Bio
Drake Maye is one of the most exciting and up and coming quarterbacks in the NFL, entering his second year with the New England Patriots. Drake is known for his elite arm strength, athleticism, and tremendous accuracy and is primed to turn the Patriots into perennial contenders.
Born in Huntersville, North Carolina, Maye attended Myers Park High School and was one of the nation’s top recruits. He stayed in state for college and attended the University of North Carolina, following in his father, Mark’s, footsteps.
Drake found immense success and was named First-Team All ACC and ACC Player of the Year in his first season as a starter in 2022. He also led the Tar Heels to the 2022 ACC Championship Game, compiling 4,321 passing yards, 698 rushing yards, and 45 total touchdowns along the way. Maye led UNC to consecutive winning seasons and declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, where he was selected third overall by the New England Patriots. In his first season in the NFL, Drake made an immediate impact, accounting for over 2,600 total yards and 17 touchdowns on his way to being selected to the Pro Bowl.
Off the field, Drake is the youngest of four brothers, all of whom were Division I athletes. Growing up with three older brothers who all had major drive to succeed helped build up Drake’s competitive spirit, all while staying humble.
His main focus outside of football is his family and faith. Drake is happily married to his middle school sweetheart and is one of the most humble athletes in the NFL, making him a fan favorite for many.
