After being diagnosed with early-stage melanoma in 2019, Thomas was inspired to start a sunscreen line. The name of the line, “WearSPF”, is a call to action in itself, and Thomas hopes it also encourages people to get checked by a dermatologist each year to prevent scares like his. Launched in 2022, WearSPF has already broken into retail shops like PGA SuperStore and Dicks Sporting Goods.
Excel worked with golf course management company Troon to develop an ambassadorship program called Team Troon, made up of some of the agency’s top golf talent. Team Troon consists of a number of different activations including logo presence, digital content and social campaigns.
Michelle Wie West, a true trailblazer in the world of golf, broke barriers and forged new paths in the sport’s development. In 2022, she partnered with Mizuho Americas to grow the game by becoming a Brand Ambassador for the company and acting as the Tournament Host of the inaugural LPGA tournament, the Mizuho Americas Open. This landmark event was first of its kind that incorporated an America Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Invitational alongside the 120-player LPGA Tour field. The tournament showcased both the present stars of the game and promising future talents in an unpreceded display of talent and sportsmanship. Michelle’s commitment to leave a lasting impact on the sport was evident in her partnership with Mizuho. Through their collaboration, they inspired a new era of athletes and ensured that the game continued to thrive and evolve for years to come.

In 2021, Morikawa became the first athlete ambassador for U.S. Bank and is a face of their partnership with Youth on Course, which provides young people with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. For each birdie Collin makes in a season, U.S. bank donates 5 golf memberships to Youth on the Course. In 2023 alone, nearly 1,600 scholarships were donated.
