Bio
Richard Jefferson is an NBA analyst on ESPN’s daily studio show NBA Today, an in-game color analyst for ESPN and YES Network, a successful podcast host, and an NBA champion.
After being drafted in 2001, Jefferson played a pivotal role in the New Jersey Nets’ back-to-back NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003. As a respected veteran, Jefferson’s jolt of energy pushed the Cleveland Cavaliers to their legendary 2016 NBA Championship win, the first in franchise history and Cleveland’s first major sports title in 52 years. In 2016, Jefferson and his then teammate, Channing Frye, created the first-ever podcast by an active NBA player during the NBA season, Road Trippin’.
