Bio
Rome Odunze is a dynamic wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, known for his remarkable speed, agility, and exceptional hands. Odunze made an immediate impact in his rookie year after being selected with the 9th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, finishing third in team receptions.
He spent four seasons with the University of Washington and was a focal point of their offense, earning 2023 AP First Team All-American honors and becoming a finalist for the acclaimed Biletnikoff Award. During his senior year, he helped lead the Huskies to an undefeated regular season (13-0) and a #2 national ranking.
He is quickly becoming one of the league’s most exciting young talents and is set to be a key part of the Bears’ future success with his ability to consistently create separation from defenders and make tough catches in high-pressure situations.
Off the field, Odunze has two brothers, enjoys stand-up comedy, and his hidden talent is juggling. He is also very involved in the Chicago community. Rome devotes a lot of his time volunteering for community organizations like the Boys and Girls Club and Breakthrough. He is passionate about supporting social justice causes such as criminal justice reform, economic opportunity, and peace initiatives.
