Bio
Jordan Whittington is a wide receiver and kick returner for the Los Angeles Rams (#88). He was born and raised in Cuero, Texas, a small town he remains deeply proud of. Jordan comes from a large, close-knit family as the third youngest of 10 siblings. Football runs in his blood: his uncle, Arthur Whittington, played running back for the Oakland Raiders and was part of their Super Bowl XV championship team in 1980, serving as a mentor throughout Jordan’s life. His older brother Quincey also played running back at SMU.
Jordan played college football at the University of Texas from 2019 to 2023, converting from running back to wide receiver after his freshman year. He overcame multiple injuries across his first three seasons to become one of the most respected players in the program, finishing his career 12th in UT history in receptions (141). He was named team captain in 2023, his fifth and final season, and was selected by the Rams in the sixth round (213th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a rookie, Jordan made an immediate impact on special teams, returning 16 kickoffs for 453 yards at a 28.3 average, which was the best return average among all NFL rookies. He was named to the 2024 PFWA All-Rookie Team. In his second season he played in all 17 games, making six starts and adding 18 receptions for 171 yards.
One of Jordan’s brothers served in the United States Air Force, giving him a personal connection to the military community. This connection is reflected in his work with ProCamps at MCAS Camp Pendleton, where he spent time with military families.
