Bio
Mikal Bridges is a starting forward for the 2026 NBA World Champion New York Knicks, known for his elite two-way play, relentless durability, and championship pedigree. As a reliable starter on the Knicks 2026 NBA Championship team, Bridges’ campaign was highlighted by a 20-point performance in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, where he shot 61.5% from the field with six rebounds and six assists. After joining the New York Knicks in 2024, where he reunited with his former Villanova University teammates, Bridges proved a crucial contributor to their success, averaging 14.4 points while shooting 49% from the field during the 2025-2026 regular season.
Prior to the Knicks, Bridges spent one-and-a-half seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, where he established himself as an elite scorer, recording 7 40+ point games and averaging 19.6 points per game in the 2023-2024 season. Bridges began his career with the Phoenix Suns, where he became the first rookie in Suns history with 100+ three pointers and 100+ steals in a season, made an NBA Finals appearance (2021), and was named to the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team (2022).
At the collegiate level, Bridges was a two-time National Champion at Villanova and the winner of the 2018 Julius Erving Award, given to the best small forward in college basketball each season. A consummate professional, Bridges has played in over 600 NBA games, never having missed a game in his college or professional career.
Mikal’s work ethic goes beyond the court as he graduated from Villanova in 2018 with a degree in Liberal Arts. That same commitment carries into his life beyond basketball. Raised by a single mother, Mikal focuses his community work on championing organizations that support single mothers and the families they lead. Off the court, he is also a proud dog dad to Sonny, a Labrador-Golden Retriever mix.
