Gareth Southgate is one of the most respected and influential leaders of his generation who successfully transformed English football. As Head Coach of the England men’s senior team from 2016 to 2024, Gareth achieved what many considered impossible. He rebuilt the team’s identity from the ground up, leading England to back-to-back UEFA European Championship finals and successive FIFA World Cup knockout stages, while setting the record for the most major tournament victories of any England manager in history.

But Gareth’s impact went far beyond that. At a time of profound national and global uncertainty, spanning COVID-19, Brexit, and debates around racial and gender equality, he emerged as an authentic, and unifying voice. His dignified leadership earned him respect not just in sport, but across politics, business, and public life, making him a true ambassador for England on the world stage.

Since stepping down after UEFA Euro 2024, Gareth has continued to lead with purpose. As an international ambassador for the King’s Trust, a bestselling author, and the inspiration behind the sell-out West End production “Dear England,” his reach and relevance continue to grow. In 2025, he delivered the prestigious Richard Dimbleby Lecture on the BBC, released the acclaimed documentary “Changing the Game for Young Men,” and published “Dear England: Lessons in Leadership”, which was named one of The Sunday Times’ Best Books of 2025.
