Michelle McKenna is an enterprise transformation executive and the NFL’s first-ever Chief Information Officer, with over three decades of leadership across sports, media, entertainment, and technology, including a landmark tenure building the League’s tech strategy and partnerships with Amazon, Microsoft, and Verizon. Today, she serves as Partner and Senior Advisor at Evercore, advising investors, CEOs, and founders on M&A, AI-enabled transformation, and strategic partnerships across technology, media, and sports.
Bio
Michelle McKenna is an enterprise transformation executive, strategic advisor, and former Founding Chief Information Officer of the National Football League. With more than three decades of executive leadership across sports, media, entertainment, technology, and consumer industries, she helps investors, CEOs, and boards harness technology and AI to create long-term enterprise value.
Today, McKenna serves as Partner and Senior Advisor at Evercore, where she works with investors, CEOs, and founders across technology, media, entertainment, and sports. As strategic relationship lead for Amazon, she advises on mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and AI-enabled enterprise transformation, with work spanning the Big Ten Conference, Learfield, TAIT, and major media transactions.
Prior to Evercore, McKenna became the first Chief Information Officer in NFL history, building the League’s enterprise technology transformation strategy from the ground up. During her decade-long tenure, she established the NFL’s first enterprise analytics organization, developed transformative partnerships with Amazon, Microsoft, and Verizon, and helped shape the technology behind landmark stadium projects including Levi’s Stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, and SoFi Stadium. She also led the historic 2020 NFL Virtual Draft during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, she spent 13 years at The Walt Disney Company leading one of the largest business and technology transformations in Disney Parks & Resorts’ history.
A patent holder whose RF signal management technology was later adopted by the U.S. Secret Service, McKenna has served on the public company boards of RingCentral, Quotient, Comscore, Insperity, and WWE, among others. She currently serves on the boards of Alticor, BBQGuys, and CommonSpirit Health.
McKenna’s leadership has been recognized through induction into the CIO Hall of Fame, Sports Business Journal Game Changer, and Forbes 50 Women to Watch in Business, among other honors. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Auburn University, an MBA from Rollins University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
