Devin Harris
Analyst and Former NBA All-Star
Devin Harris is a former NBA All-Star who brought skill, composure, and insight to a 15-year NBA career. He now brings that same perspective to the booth as a MavsTV analyst.
Bio
Devin Harris is a former NBA point guard known for his blazing speed, defensive intensity, and leadership across a 15-year career. He is best remembered for his multiple stints with the Dallas Mavericks, where he was a steady contributor and fan favorite, and for his All-Star season with the New Jersey Nets in 2009, when he averaged 21.3 points and 6.9 assists per game. Drafted fifth overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards and immediately traded to Dallas, Harris also spent time with the Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawks, and Denver Nuggets. He played in over 900 NBA games and retired in 2019.
Following his playing career, Harris transitioned into broadcasting and now serves as a television analyst for MavsTV, providing coverage of the Mavericks. He has also appeared as a college basketball analyst with Fox Sports, staying close to the game through his insightful commentary and connection to younger players.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harris was a standout athlete at Wauwatosa East High School before playing three seasons at the University of Wisconsin. As a junior, he was named Big Ten Player of the Year and led the Badgers to a conference title and deep NCAA Tournament run. Off the court, Harris is known for his professionalism, humility, and mentorship of younger athletes—traits that have carried over into his post-playing career in media and community engagement.
