TV Commentator and Former South African Professional Golfer
Trevor Immelman, a former Masters champion, offers a measured, credible voice in his role as CBS’s lead golf analyst.
Bio
Trevor Immelman is the lead golf analyst for CBS Sports, where he provides expert commentary alongside Jim Nantz for some of the sport’s most prestigious events, including all four Majors, the Ryder Cup, and The Match franchise.
A former professional golfer, Immelman competed at the highest level for two decades, earning widespread recognition for his talent and smooth swing. He claimed his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2006 Western Open, earning PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year honors that season. In 2008, he achieved a career-defining moment by winning the Masters Tournament, becoming only the second South African to don the coveted Green Jacket.
After retiring from competitive golf in 2019, Immelman transitioned seamlessly into broadcasting, quickly establishing himself as a respected voice in the industry. In 2022, he captained the International Team at the Presidents Cup and was appointed Chairman of the Official World Golf Rankings, helping to shape the future of the sport. That same year, he stepped into his role as CBS Sports’ lead golf analyst, further solidifying his reputation as one of the premier commentators in golf.
