Super-Bowl winning offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth serves as an analyst for Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage, contributing to pregame, halftime, and postgame programming alongside host Charissa Thompson and fellow analysts Tony Gonzalez, Richard Sherman, and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Bio
In addition to his role on Thursday Night Football, Whitworth co-hosts the weekly Fitz & Whit podcast alongside fellow TNF analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick. Launched in 2024, the show features NFL analysis, behind-the-scenes stories from their combined 33 NFL seasons, and conversations with some of football’s biggest names, including Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Sean McVay.
Prior to his broadcasting role, Whitworth celebrated a distinguished playing career, starting with a tremendous collegiate run at Louisiana State University, where he twice earned first-team All-SEC honors. He entered the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he protected the pocket for Prime Video’s Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2007 and 2008. In 2017, Whitworth joined the Los Angeles Rams, where he closed out his 16 seasons in the NFL with a Super Bowl championship in February, 2022.
Throughout his career, Whitworth earned four Pro Bowl distinctions and two first-team All-Pro selections. Known for his impressive longevity, he retired as the oldest tackle in NFL history and stands as the oldest offensive lineman to ever win a Super Bowl. Additionally, in 2021, Whitworth was named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, the NFL’s most prestigious award, recognizing “outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on it.
